Yampa Valley Land Trust is a dynamic, results-oriented, community-based, land conservation organization.
To meet its mission, YVLT works in partnership with willing landowners to negotiate solutions, typically in the form of conservation easements, for permanent protection of the rural landscapes found throughout Northwest Colorado.
For over ten years, Yampa Valley Land Trust has been quietly going about the business of land conservation in the Yampa Valley. Yampa Valley Land Trust collaborates with a diverse group of landowners that includes traditional ranching families, new property owners, local governments and developers, many times bridging philosophical, cultural and economic differences
Yampa Valley Land Trust
now holds over 36,300 acres in 54 conservation easements!
An additional 19,600 acres are conserved in Routt County by six other organizations!
