2008 Election
RCCD Board members Jim Rossi, Heather Stirling and Lou DeQuine were all up for re-election in 2008. All members accepted another 4 year term. All members were re-elected. Happy four more years!

The election process is relatively simple. When a term is up, members may choose to sign on for another term or they can choose to step down. It is required to have 5 Board members at all times. At election time, others may decide to run for a Board position. Applications are available at the RCCD office. If there are more applicants than open Board positions, a special election must take place. Otherwise, the current Board member is re-elected. Legal notices for the election dates are posted in the Steamboat Pilot & Today.
