SCORE COUNSELOR REQUIREMENTS
SCORE counselors can be employed or retired men and women with business skills and experience that prepares them to help prospective clients.

SCORE volunteers hail from every facet of the business community. Some have worked at large corporations. Some have served in our military or worked for local, state or federal government. Countless others have spent years cultivating their own businesses.

If you have business, administrative and management experience you can be a SCORE counselor.

You can be a successful counselor if you have good interpersonal communication skills, analytical and problem-solving ability and a talent for leading others.

THE COUNSELOR CERTIFICATION PROCESS

1.) Complete and submit a Counselor Application Form.
2.) Satisfactorily complete a formal interview with a SCORE Office Director.
3.) Attend the "First Steps" and "Next Steps" seminars at Colorado Mountain College (class fees are waived).
4.) Audit at least two counseling sessions with a certified SCORE Counselor.
