Founded in 1972 by Chairman Donald R. Seawell and dedicated to excellence in the arts, The Denver Center for the Performing Arts is a showcase for live theatre, a nurturing ground for new plays, a preferred stop on the Broadway touring circuit, an award-winning teleproduction facility, a national training school for actors and the site of some of this country's most innovative voice research.
It consists of two producing divisions ~ Denver Center Theatre Company and Denver Center Productions ~ and a third division, the Wilbur James Gould Voice Center.
