Summer 2009 Tour Dates

Olympic Heritage Walking Tour: Every Wednesday from July 1-Sept. 2nd, 9:00am - 10:30am, FREE.

Starts at Olympian Hall at Howelsen Hill, 845 Howelsen Parkway. This easy walking tour explores Steamboat's Olympic heritage; the multiple talents of Carl Howelsen; and the history of the Steamboat Springs Winter Sports Club, Winter Carnival, Howelsen Hill, and ski jumping. Once at Howelsen Hill, participants will witness the daring feats of ski jumpers soaring through the air during practice. Sponsored by the Tread of Pioneers Museum and Historic Routt County! All tour participants will receive a coupon for $1 off admission to the Tread of Pioneers Museum and a FREE ticket for the Howelsen Hill chairlift.
