The Hayden Grain Company, now currently Yampa Valley Feed, was established in 1918 and is the only grain elevator still standing in Routt County. Yampa Valley Feed is currently owned and operated by Doug Meacham.

The original grain elevator was built in 1920-21, with the large elevator added in 1949.

The scales were contracted by White Star and built in the late 1940's.

The grainery suffered from a fire in 1968, however the original portion still stands today.

The grainery was a gathering spot for locals, and that tradition carries on today with the coffee pot always on.
