The Railroad Depot, which has been moved, has a very interesting history. The Railroad Depot was moved to a piece of property on Routt County Road 14, while a new one, made of a two piece house, was placed in the same spot as the old one. The depot was where the general public bought their tickets, and also where the operators checked the trains that came in and out. Passenger trains stopped coming through Phippsburg, which is why the Railroad Depot was moved. Now just coal trains and some cargo trains go through the Phippsburg Railyard. The new Depot monitors all of the coal trains and cargo trains that go in and out of Phippsburg.

The Railroad Depot is a red colored building with a sloped roof. The Depot is on the road to Stagecoach (county road 14) about 1 mile from 131. It is now just used for storage and is now on private property and is completely fenced in with barbwire and a wood fence. The Railroad Depot has wood siding and a tin roof. The windows are trimmed in white. The Baggage Room door, which is a really big door like one on a garage,is also white. Also, it has a normal sized door that was used as an entrance. The depot also still has its' brick chimney attached.
