YVMC Senior Living Campus Survey

 
In connection with planning a new senior living campus in Steamboat, Yampa Valley Medical Center sought information from the Routt County population. The YVMC survey targeted seniors who might wish to live in a new senior community in Steamboat. The survey also targeted younger persons who might wish to bring a parent here

The survey was conducted by ProMatura Group, Oxford, MS, a firm who specializes in this work.

Here are two quotes for the summary which indicate the results of the survey:

“The proportion of households who responded to the survey and expressed and indicated they might consider moving to the community is significantly higher than ProMatura has seen in other studies…”

“The high level of interest in the proposed campus among households who have a parent or older relative living outside of the Steamboat Springs area suggests the proposed community should attract a sizable proportion of its residents from beyond the primary market area.”

In addition to its primary purpose, the survey gives an interested profile of seniors living in the wider Steamboat area.
