High School Senior Scholarships
Don and Eileen Lufkin Scholarship: Our premier scholarship given to High School Seniors attending any college in an amount equal to tuition and fees at Colorado State University.
- Graduating High School seniors
- Youth who have been in the Routt County 4-H program for a minimum of one year and have been involved in any 4-H program for a minimum of three years
- an active member their senior year
- participated in exhibit day or county fair
- Are currently enrolled in a 4-H program their senior year of high school and complete all 4-H and project requirements for that year
- Must attend a post secondary school the same year the scholarship is awarded.
Jim Milligan Scholarship: To reward a past 4-H member who has demonstrated a commitment to the Routt County 4-H program and other constructive youth programs. A priority is given to youth entering careers in agriculture.
- high school senior
- have been a member of the Routt County 4-H program for three years or more and shown at least one project in each of those three years
- have served in a club county or district leadership role during one of the past three years (this could be serving on or chairing a committee for an activity or event)
- submit a completed application with two letters of recommendation and school transcript to the Extension office
- completed all projects your senior year
- an active member their senior year
- participated in exhibit day or county fair
- fill out the page on financial need
- Must attend a post secondary school the same year the scholarship is awarded.
Jared Herfurtner Memorial Scholarship: To reward a 4-H member who has demonstrated a commitment to the Routt County 4-H program and other constructive youth programs.
- high school senior
- been a member of the Routt County 4-H program for three years or more and shown at least one project in each of those three years
- an active 4-H member their senior year
- participated in exhibit day or county fair
- have served in a club county or district leadership role during one of the past three years (this could be serving on or chairing a committee for an activity or event)

Kamar Scholarship: To promote the production of genetically superior livestock and reward those 4-H and FFA youth with the higher education needed to further the development of the improved agriculture.
- be a high school senior or junior
- enrolled in 4-H or FFA in Routt County, Colorado
- enrolled in the breeding cattle project
- project breeding animal must be sired by artificial insemination
- complete all applicable record books and physically show the animal at the Routt County Fair during the year applying for the scholarship
- documentation to prove breeding animal was sired by AI
- intention to attend higher education institute in one of the fields of agriculture
- Must attend a post secondary school the same year the scholarship is awarded.
Marie Dunn Memorial Scholarship: To reward a 4-H member who has demonstrated a commitment to the Routt County 4-H program and other constructive youth programs.
- high school senior

Shiner Family 4-H Leadership Scholarship: To reward a 4-H member who has demonstrated 4-H Leadership involvement at the club, county, district, and state level.
Post Secondary Scholarships
Helen Sherrod Memorial Scholarship: To reward a 4-H member who has demonstrated a commitment to the Routt County 4-H program and other constructive youth programs with specific emphasis in the family and consumer science area.
- Current College student working toward their first undergraduate degree.
- Be past their freshman year in college.
- Be attending a Colorado college.
- have been a member of the Routt County 4-H program.
- A completed application with two letters of recommendation and school transcript to the Routt County Extension Office.

- Must attend a post secondary school the same year the scholarship is awarded.

Howard and Maxine Elliot Memorial Scholarship: To reward two past 4-H members who are continuing their first undergraduate education past their freshman year at Colorado Colleges.
