Colorado CattleWomen, Inc. (CCW) is an all volunteer non-profit organization dedicated to the beef industry. The mission of CCW is three fold; to promote beef as a product, to educate the public about the industry and its contributions currently and historically; and to educate about and protect the agricultural lifestyle.

CCW members are members of local affiliates located across the state. Their age ranges from junior colleges to late 90's. CCW members are wives, mothers, sisters, daughters, friends, husbands, sons, fathers, distant relatives, to people involed in the beef industry and people who have no link to the industry but are nostalgic about the lifestyle. CCW is an affiliate of the American National CattleWomen.

There are two major types of membership:General Membership and Associate Membership.

General Membership members are those who are either members at large or members of local affiliates. They have the opportunity to promote beef at the National Western Stockshow, the State Fair, and the Holiday Food and Craft Fairs in Colorado Springs and Denver. The have the opportunity to receive training to help them enter into their local classrooms, funds and help in local promotions, and input into updating materials produced by the Colorado CattleWomen for publication. These members are the backbone of the organization and support the organization with their time and funds. There are three levels of General Membership: General is $10 annually; General life member silver is someone who wishes to pay their dues to the organization once and remain a member for the rest of their life. The amount is $250. General Life member gold is also someone who wishes to pay a one time fee for life; but wishes to support the Colorado CattleWomen at a higher level. The amount is $500.

Associate Members recognize the importance of the newsletter and can join in the opportunities of the General Member but pay a higher membership fee to financially support the Colorado CattleWomen's Newsletter. Their name, logo, and other pertinent information appears in each newsletter for the year. Associate Membership fees are $150.

Would you like to get the newsletter over the internet? The Colorado CattleWomen website, www.yampavalley.info/coloradocattlewo.asp , will carry the newsletter stories beginning with this newsletter. How will it be different than the actual newsletter? Under the heading of Newsletter, each story will be listed. You will open each story individually. This is so that those who are on dial-up will not have to take all day to read a story. The photos will appear on a separate page called photos and will take longer to download.
If you wish to not receive a newsletter through the mail but would prefer to be notified when the newsletter is loaded up on the website, contact Jo Stanko. (Your personal information will only be used for the purpose of this notification). We will stop mailing your newsletter to you and send you notification via email.
