"The purpose is to define Historic Preservation, identify why it is important and how to encourage, promote and implement it.

Vision Statement:

"Steamboat Springs is a proactive, preservation community with regard to lands, waters, structures and cultural heritage. We have implemented regulations and incentives to ensure such preservation in perpetuity, and inventoried all known properties and taken necessary steps to compile, preserve and disseminate information regarding our history."
