The Working Groups will be having a series of meetings to discuss the Issues Analysis Papers. Each group should accomplish the following: 1. Revisit the vision statement created during the November 2001 meetings in light of new information and determine if statement is still valid. It is acceptable to make revisions to the vision statement as long as they are within the context of the original statement. 2. Review each of the issues contained within the Issues Analysis Paper (these issues were taken directly from the Issues Papers submitted to the consultants but have been reworded) and develop an objective/goal statement that furthers the vision statement. For example: A Housing Issues states, "Eliminate Barriers to Affordable Housing." An Objective/Goal statement might read: "The City and County shall review housing policies and existing land use controls to ensure an affordable housing supply." 3. Review the potential approaches presented in the Issues Analysis Papers for each issue to determine appropriateness. Once the approaches have been agreed upon, they must be prioritized from most important to least important!!!
