AABA Services
Advocates has served the citizens of Routt County by assisting victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and their family members through crisis services, supportive counseling, advocacy, and community education, since 1983. Advocates provides the following services in its continuing effort toward decreasing and ultimately eliminating domestic and sexual violence.

24-Hour advocacy
  • crisis counseling
  • immediate response to victims
  • all other crime victims


  • Shelter
  • residential shelter services


  • Women's Support Group
  • weekly group for women who are presently, or who have been, in abusive relationships

  • support/educational focus


  • Supportive Counseling
  • short-term support counseling for victims and significant others


  • Community Awareness
  • presentations in the schools, community colleges, civic, church, service groups
  • awareness regarding domestic violence, sexual violence, impact on children witnessing violence in the home


  • Advocacy
  • crisis counseling, criminal justice support, emergency financial assistance, resource referrals
