Advocates has served the citizens of Routt County by assisting victims of domestic abuse and sexual violence and their family members through crisis services, supportive counseling, advocacy, and community education, since 1983. Advocates provides the following services in its continuing effort toward decreasing and ultimately eliminating domestic and sexual violence.
24-Hour advocacy
crisis counseling
immediate response to victims
all other crime victims
Shelter
residential shelter services
Women's Support Group
weekly group for women who are presently, or who have been, in abusive relationships
support/educational focus
Supportive Counseling
short-term support counseling for victims and significant others
Community Awareness
presentations in the schools, community colleges, civic, church, service groups
awareness regarding domestic violence, sexual violence, impact on children witnessing violence in the home
Advocacy
crisis counseling, criminal justice support, emergency financial assistance, resource referrals
