How Can You Help Protect Children Against Domestic Violence?
You can help protect children in your community, whether you are a parent or not.

Parents:

  • Say NO to violence in your life, even the use of it as punishment and discipline.
  • Call local resources for support.

    Community:

  • Support battered women in their effort to end violence.
  • Be willing to listen. Don't ignore the problem.
  • Re-examine your own attitudes towards violence.
  • Examine how television programs glamorize violence and what you can do to change that.
