James B. Donaldson
1877-1879
James Brownlee Donaldson was born 16 July 1837 in Rochester, New York. He was involved in various enterprises as he moved westward and ended up working in the mines at Hahn‘s Peak. He was appointed Sheriff of Routt County in August 1877 to serve until the general election. According to the 1880 census he was a resident of Hahn's Peak, age 43, occupation was "chiner".
