The Allen House sits on the corner of Lincoln Avenue and Second Street on lots 17-18. The house was built in 1907; it is a two story, four bedroom, two bath, Victorian style house. This old Victorian house has a square shape with a gabled roof. The facade of the house, which faces Lincoln Avenue, has a covered porch. Under the porch roof on the first floor on the left side, there is a picture window; the front entrance is set off to the right. A bay window juts out into the yard on the south side of the house. Wooden lap siding covers the house. In the older picture there was a white picket fence but now is a black wrought iron fence.

The Allen House was built in 1907 by a German man by the name of Mr.Gumprecht. Mr.Gumprecht built the house for The Allens. Larry Amerein was an owner between the Allens and the current owners, the Moreaus.

Information gathered with the help of Hildred Fogg of the Yampa Egeria Museum by Shane and Bailey at Soroco High School, April 2005.
