Brief Biography:
At the age of thirteen, Rick Mewborn began his jumping career at Howelsen Hill. While jumping, he earned several international titles. He was a Junior National Champion, the U.S. National Champion, as well as the Canadian National Champion. In 1988 he competed at the Olympics in Calgary. After his ski jumping career ended, he returned to Howelsen Hill to coach many more jumpers.

Rick continues to live and work in Steamboat Springs where he runs an excavation company. He enjoys returning to Howelsen Hill to watch his own children ski.
