Brief Biography:
Tetreault grew up in Vermont and began alpine skiing at the age of two and took his first jump in the third grade. While in high school he made the World Junior Olympic team, but went on to the University of Vermont and considered dropping the sport. While in his sophomore year he changed his mind, dropped out of school and moved to Steamboat to train full time. In 1992 he injured himself just before the team competition in Lillehammer, when he fell on some ice and broke his leg while trying to catch a bus. Tetreault earned three U.S. Nordic Combined titles in 1992, 1993 and 1997, before leading the team to a 10th place finish at the Nagano Olympics in 1998. In 1995 the team placed fourth at the World Championships, a best ever for a U.S. team and in 1996 they finished fifth.
