Brief Biography:

Van Loan started skiing at the age of three and went off his first ski jump at age nine. He skied in four World Junior Championships and helped the team win a first-place in 1999 at Saalfelden, Austria. In 2000 he skied past 32 other racers to finish ninth at the World Junior Championships earning him a place on the World Cup team. In addition to skiing, Van Loan is also a road racing cyclist and recently was invited to the national training camps by the U.S. Cycling Federation.
