Affordable Housing Qualifications

All programs for affordable housing sponsored by the Yampa Valley Housing Authority target families in the very low, low, and medium income groups.

The chart below outlines the income limitations for each of those groups. For example, a family of three cannot have a combined gross income above $32,700 in order to be considered in the very low income group; whereas, the same family would be considered in the medium income group with a gross income between $52,350 and $78,480.

In addition to income limitations, there are net worth restrictions for each group depending on the deed restrictions.


How Do I Apply for a Program? Top
Anyone interested in one of YVHA’s programs is urged to submit a Home Opportunity Application Form and a USDA Rural Development Pre-Qualification Worksheet. Once these forms have been submitted, the housing authority can counsel potential homeowners on how to proceed.
