Site Planning Committee
Site Planning Committee’s Goal is the creation of a functional, feasible, and attractive site plan for a larger library at its current location. In order to determine functionality, feasibility and attractiveness, a rough idea of floor plan, cost, architecture and solutions for impacts on concurrent site users will be included.

The “site” is defined as the area extending from 12th Street to 13th Street and from the Yampa River to Lincoln Avenue.

  • Creating a feasible and desirable solution for all existing uses, programs and services that are currently on the site through the active participation of those users in the planning process.

    Fulfilling identifiable library needs as far as possible on the site.

  • The plan will respect the site in terms of its natural environment, scale, placement, balance of parking and open space and multiple uses.


  • The plan will be efficient in terms of cost, functionality and accessibility.
