The Tread of Pioneers Museum staff and volunteers work closely with teachers to create curriculum-based school tours and other educational programs to best meet student and teacher needs. We offer tours, activities and programs to fit all age groups and goals. Give us a call to discuss your needs and ideas, and help your students discover thier heritage today.

Volunteers Wanted

The Museum is run largely by the generous contribution of over 4000 volunteer hours per year. Volunteering at the Museum provides the opportunity to get involved in the community and our history.

Internships

Are you in school studying museum studies or a related field? Need internship hours? Want hands-on museum experience while living in the beautiful mountains?
The museum has unpaid internship opportunities for a student to assist our Curator in cleaning, storing and caring for the museum's collections. Interest in Western History a must.

Artifacts Wanted

We are searching for the following local treasures to add to the museum collection:
--Joe Dandy cereal box (from Yampa Valley M&E)
--Gossard corset
--Snow sled, pre-1950's
--Knitting and crochet needles, pre-1940
