The 29th Annual Yule Log Hunt, sponsored by the Tread of Pioneers Museum and the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association, will begin on Monday, December 8th. The clues will air on local radio stations and will also be printed in the Steamboat Today.
Every Friday at noon, during July and August (check The Happenings) enjoy the Brown Bag Summer Lecture Series: History with the Locals. Speakers present various topics about our area.
The 17th Annual Tread of Pioneers Museum "Festival of Trees," our joyous holiday fundraiser runs November 12-21, 2011. Don't miss this fantastic museum tradition. Sponsored by Yampa Valley Bank and Ace at the Curve. 
School tours and special programs are a large part of the activities at the Tread of Pioneers Museum. Museum staff tailor our school tours to the state required curriculum. We also offer children's programs and events throughout the year.
Kids use the treasuer map to answer clues and riddles about artifacts at the museum. All children get to choose a prize from the treasure chest upon completing the treasure hunt. A fun and interactive way to learn about the history of Steamboat Springs.
