History of the Library

The Hayden Library began as civic project sponsored by the Women's Club of Hayden in November, 1930. The first library was located in a small room in the rear of the drugstore, loaned without charge by the druggist, Ralph Whittaker. Lumber for shelves was donated by Mr. Brunt and the high school students built the bookshelves.

Library Cards and Policies

Library cards may be applied for in person
at the front desk. A patron number will be
assigned to you at the time, and can be used
to access your account from home via this webpage.
A local mailing address is needed. First time check-out

is limited to two items; and after these items are returned,
