Leckenby Pioneer Award

The Tread of Pioneers Museum Leckenby Pioneer Awards honor people who have had a prominent influence on shaping Routt County and improving the lives of its residents.

Stanley H. Larson Award

The Tread of Pioneers Museum Stanley L. Larson Awards to honor people who have had a prominent influence on shaping Routt County and improving the lives of its residents.

The Stanley L. Larson Awards are given posthumously to a person who lived in Routt County and made a major contribution to the area.

Hospitality Awards

In recognition of the efforts of the service industry in and around Steamboat Springs, every April from 1993 - 2006 an awards banquet for Hospitality was hosted by numerous businesses.

El Pomar Awards for Excellence

In order to recognize and reward outstanding nonprofit organizations throughout Colorado and honor Spencer and Julie Penrose's commitment to the nonprofit sector, the Trustees of El Pomar Foundation inaugurated the Awards For Excellence program in 1989.

Steamboat Heritage Award

In 1999, it was announced that the City of Steamboat Springs would be fulfilling the desire to honor outstanding community citizenship by introducing the Heritage Award for the City's Centennial Celebration Year of 2000.

Local Philanthropist Award

The Philanthropist of the Year award is presented each July by the Yampa Valley Community Foundation.
Nominations for the philanthropist of the Year award are based on the following criteria:

Consistent generous level of financial support and in-kind contributions
Broad philanthropic impact to the community
Volunteer contributions

The Navigator Awards

The Navigator Award is given annually honoring Steamboat's Outstanding Business and Business Leader.

The Navigator Awards, presented by the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Assoociation and the Steamboat Pilot & Today are presented in October. These awards are designed to recognize the accomplishments and contributions of outstanding Chamber members and are presented annually to one local business and an individual who stand out as leaders in the business community.

Hazie Werner Awards

The Hazie Werner Award for Excellence is presented to a local woman, who has, through, the pursuit of personal goals, achieved a standard of excellence in her field. This award, started in 1989, is named after Hazie Werner, a local legend in the Yampa Valley for her dedication and volunteer work for  multiple organizations.

Leadership Steamboat

Leadership Steamboat is a development program jointly sponsored by Colorado Mountain College and the Steamboat Springs Chamber Resort Association. A class of 20 selected participants, represent a cross-section of the community. Participants explore issues with key decision-makers, develop a network of contacts and join the fast track to effective community service. The cost of investing in Routt County's future is $350, payable by the participant, employer, or sponsoring organization.
