Senior Scholarships

Each year, RCCD awards one $500.00 and one $600.00 scholarship to graduating seniors who plan to major in a field related to agriculture. The application is available from our office or download the form from the bottom of this page.

The Board wishes to congratulate the recipients of our 2008 Senior Scholarships.

Sixth Grade Poster Contest

In conjunction with the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts and the NRCS, Routt County Conservation District continues to sponsor education in agriculture through the annual Sixth Grade Poster Contest. With materials and personnel provided by the participating agencies, teachers design and present a conservation unit to their sixth grade students.

Camp Rocky Scholarships

Camp Rocky is a week-long, residential camp for 14- to 19-year-olds who enjoy the outdoors and are interested in natural resources. Camp Rocky staff, made up of resource professionals from around the state, help participants learn about their environment while participants work in teams and meet other students from across Colorado.

Teacher Scholarships

The District offers continuing education scholarships to Routt County teachers through several programs, including the Colorado Association of Conservation Districts and the Colorado Foundation For Agriculture. In these programs, Routt County teachers learn content and techniques for teaching conservation.
