Responsible Dog Ownership Group of Steamboat

PROMOTING OFF-LEASH AREAS IN STEAMBOAT SPRINGS.RDOGS will investigate the feasibility of designating or developing dog off-leash areas and/or dog parks in the Steamboat Springs area, provide thoughtful recommendations regarding the establishment of these areas, and shepherd these recommendations through the public approval process. RDOGS will also work hard to educate citizens and visitors about the elements of responsible dog ownership.

Born Free Wildlife Rehabilitation

Born Free Wildlife Rehabilitation is a non-profit organization that began 13 years ago.

Born Free is state and federally licensed to rehab all wild animals including migratory birds and eagles.

Meeker Animal Shelter

The animal control facility is operated by the Town police department with part time help to care for the dogs. Three employees rotate a three day schedule with the Animal Control Officer covering each Wednesday.
