Although a bit further than DIA, the Colorado Springs Airport is sometimes used to access air transportation to Routt County. Depending on the weather, it's about a 4 1/2 drive. Owned and operated by the City of Colorado Springs, the modern facility opened in October 1994 and is a fast-growing gateway to Colorado.
