Stephanie Rio, orginally from Chicago, graduated from the University of Vermont with a Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. Steph has worked at numerous summer camps and has had a variety of classroom teaching experiences. She enjoys service-learning, Ashtonga yoga and hiking. Stephanie is looking forward to the upcoming year at Soroco Middle School!

Greg Johnson grew up in the south suburbs of Chicago. Greg went to Eastern Illinois University and graduated with a B.A. in History with a teaching certificate in December of 2006. Greg has worked with youth since he was in high school in teaching and coaching roles. Greg enjoys playing and coaching volleyball, learning about and dicussing politics/social issues, staying physically active and hanging out in nature. Greg will be placed in Steamboat Springs Middle School this year.

Risheen Maheswaran grew up in New York City and graduated in May from Columbia University, with a BA in Anthropology. Risheen has extensive experience working with students in New York City Public schools. In her free time, she enjoys reading and spending time outdoors. Risheen is excited to work with the students in the Steamboat Springs Middle School this year!

Virginia Lamneck was born in Miami, FL and grew up in Staunton, VA. She graduated in May 2007 from Roanoke College with a B.A. in English. She enjoys a myraid of outdoor activities and is interested in creative writing, yoga, gardening and astronomy. She has worked with youth and young adults throughout her high school and college years and is happy to be living in Steamboat Springs and working with students in Hayden.

Jenny Ackerson is from Ft. Collins, CO and just graduated from the University of Michigan with a B.S. in Brain Behavior & Cognitive Science. She's excited to be back in Colorado and spend the year in Steamboat Springs. Jenny loves everything about the outdoors, loves painting, photography, watching football, eating burritos, reading and getting coffee with friends. Looking toward her future, Jenny would like to get a Masters of Education and/or Guidance Counseling. She is excited about working with Partners this year and the experience she will gain. More than anything though, she is looking forward to spending time with Hayden Middle School students!

Ellie Glover grew up in Palmer, Alaska, and recently graduated from Western State College of Colorado with a degree in Biopsychology. Ellie has had the chance to work with both high school and elementary age students, and is now excited to be working with middle schoolers. Ellie loves playing in the mountains, good coffee, and is enjoying the Routt County community so far.
