No matter what time of year there are great ways to host a kids birthday party in our area. Here are a few ideas that might help.

Do you have a fall or winter party to plan? Try Howelsen Ice Arena, open mid-August until late April. The Ice Arena offers two types of Birthday packages.

The Hat Trick Package: Ice arena staff will customize your child's party including decorations, ordering, set up, and clean up. All you have to do is pick out the party style and send out the complementary invitations about 2 weeks before the scheduled party. Decorations include: balloons, streamers, a happy birthday banner, plates, napkins, cups, silverware, and a table, a 5 gallon container filled with your choice of drink and candles. The birthday party staff needs at least 2 weeks notice to plan a fantastic party for your child.

Slap Shot Package: Pick any public skate time for your party. One locker room with a table is included; the room is yours to decorate as you please. The arena staff would appreciate one week's notice to get a locker room reserved.

Both packages include admission and skate rental for your guests, 1 locker room, invitations and tickets. When you pick up the invitations payment is due. The ice arena will give you tickets to give each of your guest's for admission and skate rental. Have your guest arrive about 20 minutes early to pick out skates. They must have the tickets for admission. Private party, full ice rental is extra. Call for pricing information and available times. Extra Locker rooms are also available for $25 each. Instructors are available for an extra fee.
