Routt County is the home of Ski Town USA. I grew up in this small tourist town, and obviously our tourism comes from the resort and mountain. Skiing is just a part of life here in Steamboat for everyone. I started learning how to ski when I was two years old; my dad would take me up to Preview every Sunday and he would ski with me in between his legs. I have been skiing or snowboarding since then and have enjoyed it more and more every year. As a teen, the mountain has become the most entertaining thing to do on the weekends. Everybody has a pass and is up there every Saturday or Sunday, it's the best clean fun we have available to us. I feel really lucky to have grown up here because of the great environment with the mountain and tourism.
