Sand Mountain
by Zach

Sand Mountain is another place me and my buddies like to go ride. It requires more skill so I usually will ride up there with people like Jeremy, he knows how to ride. It is located west of my house and is to the south of Hahns Peak. Sand is one of the first mountains I learned about when I moved here that was outside of town. In the evenings I have never seen a more perfect sunset as the ones you see setting on Sand. The top of the mountain is a big cornice followed by an extremely steep face. No one would have the guts to play on a snowmobile on the face of that mountain. In the summer, Sand is another one of our camping spots. We have only been out there a couple of times during the summer but it is an awesome spot to camp. When we would go boating on the lake, Sand Mountain was the main view because it stands tall to the south of the lake.
